Putting Numeracy Skills to Use

W e don't always need to know the exact value of a measurement or an amount.

There are lots of opportunities for your child to try out their numeracy skills to use in real situations.

Instead of buying presents for your child consider letting them spend an amount of money in their favourite shop. The only condition being that they make the most of the money. Let them take their time and help them work out how they could get the most value out of their money.

The on-line auction site, Ebay.com, is a great place to find a bargain. Help your child become familiar with how Ebay works.
