Learning Track: Numeracy Part 2

Measurement and Units

M easuring is a practical numeracy activity that your child should practice at home.

Measuring is a way of being exact about how much of something. We use different instruments to measure different things.

A ruler is used to measure small distances.

A tape measure is used to measure longer distances.

A thermometer is used to measure temperature.

A speed-o-meter is used to measure speed in a car.

A weighing scale is used to measure weight.
