Read To Your Child Daily to Develop Their Literacy Skills
S
peaking with confidence is an important life skill.
Everyone has met someone that speaks with confidence.
The ability to put people at easy, and connect with people is as important in making new friends as it is in a work situation.
Literacy includes the skill of speech, and a good school will do their best to help children learn this skill.
As usual there are many things you can do to help your child aquire this skill.
The Shy Child
Shy children suffer unneccesarily abecuase they worry that they will embarress themselves. Shy children exaggerate how people we will react to them and will tend to think that others will think the worst of them.
Sadly, shy children miss out on opportunities.
As a parent, if your child is shy, you'll be aware it is not easy to help them. Pushing them too hard can have the opposite effect and they can become more shy.
At EasyStreetLearning, we use our tried and test 'small-steps' approach, and make little efforts evry day to de-shy your child.
Are you shy yourself ?
