School Holidays and Learning
S
ome parents firmly believe that during school holidays that their children should not have to do any learning...
that is something that happens only at school.
This appoach,
is designed to make life less stressful for their child,
however sadly this can have the reverse effect.
A young child can all too easily forget what they have learnt and
gains made by them can be lost.
The problem is compounded as when they come back to school,
there is often new material to learn.
It might help to try and put your self in the techers shoes for a moment,
with upto thrity children to teach, each with their own learning standard.
Child has to catch up - stressful.
At EasyStreetLearning we have carefully created fun activities so that learning is more like playing.
Consider what happens when you continue to support your child's learning during a school holiday.
They will become more and more confident and comfortable with what they have learnt.
When they return to school their learning will have not been eroded by the holiday
and they will enjoy learning new topics that rely on knowledge that that have aquired before.
The main thing is to decide on a policy.
