N ow your child knows the basics of reading, they are ready learn some common words that will help increase their fluency.

XXXX some more help that will set them on a path for reading with confidence.

Common Words - Part 1 (Key Stage 1)

Age 5 and over ???

Knowing these common words will dramatically help your child's reading fluency, increase their confidence as well their reading enjoyment.

The best way to learn these words is to go through them one by one, and let your child attempt to read them, using the sounding-out technique, then help them as needed.

As rough guide, go through a sheet at a day, but follow your child's pace.

Mark the ones your child has difficulty with and practice those ones more often.
