Learning Track: Towards Literacy

You and Your baby are Both Learning

Learning is Like Going on a Long Journey to Somewhere New

I magine you are on a journey going somewhere destination you would like to be.

There are lots of simularities between a journey and learning.

In a journey we must be determined to get to our destination.

Learning something also takes determination.

In a journey we might take a few detours to get around some unexpected obstacles.

This is a lot like learning, if we want to learn a new skill we must be prepared to over come difficulties as they arrise.

On a journey, if you're smart, you'll find an easier and faster way to travel when possible.

If we are smart about learning, we can use proven 'learning tips' to speed-up our learning.

On a journey, having a guide is a big advantage and makes the whole experience much more enjoyable.

You are the best guide to support your child's learning... Use EasyStreetLearning to help take each step on exactly what you can do to support your child's learning.

Also, if you leave it to late to start your journey, you'll have to rush and it won't be pleasant.

It's the same with learning. Starting early means your child can have the time to really understand, master skills and use them in practical ways to solve real problems when the opportunity arrises.

BOTH YOU AND YOUR CHILD are starting out on a 'learning journey'. Clearly your child has lots to learn, but you are your child's 'learning' guide, something which through our help and some practice, you'll become better and better at it.

Lastly, on a new journey you might get a little lost.

Again, it's the same with learning. A natural part of learning is making mistakes, if we all got things right first time, it would not be 'learning' it would be simply 'doing'.
