Important: What's Your Discipline Strategy?

What Has Discipline Got to do With Learning?

W hen we spoke to parents about their children's learning we found a large number said that they could not achive much learning at home because they eventually got fed up over having battles with their children.

The parents that we spoke to had older children.

But when we talked to parents who felt their children had succeeded in education, they had always given clear boudaries to their children, or they had reach some .. when they diciced they had to begin to have a strategy for dicipline before their child's behavior become more unpleasant.

We spoke to older generations and Most parents said they wished they had been strict earlier as once bad practice had habits had crept in it was hard to undo. You want you child to listen to you first time. Praise your child when they do. Xref books - Teacher.., Discipline book. Inet, Different strategies - Guilt to say no... cut play time... No need to cut playtime, learning can be fun,... it 's how be appraoch it. Dont call it work... call it play, puzzles or an activity + join in and get on the floor and engage with your child. Your thing ... my thing... Take turns. The alternative: no discipline - expect a teacher who also has to look after 30 other children to do it... bit of a risk. Homelife deteroiorates without dscipline. Firm authoritive voice and finger making a clear signal of what behaviour is bad. Love is not one way... we need to tell our children this or they wont get it... then we complain...
