ost parents are aware you should read to your child
to help them become good readers
We love one imaginative parent's idea of using 'Hula Hoops' as a prop to help make counting fun !
For children, the fun of putting Hula Hoops on each finger will keep them entertained while they also learn a lot about numbers.
Ask them to find out how many Hula Hoops then can put on their fingers.
Give your child a Hula Hoop – say "I am adding 1 to your Hula Hoops".
Take one Hula Hoop away – say "I am taking-away 1 Hula Hoop from them".
Other things you might use instead of Hula Hoops are your child's favourite sweets
and a plate to put them in.
